Episode 6

Morning Meeting

A few days after the manhunt for the Grey Gremlin begins, the Replacements attend a strategy meeting at the Steel Citadel with the Watch, The Board, Agent Harrison, and others.

They learn that the FBI is holding the son of the original Grey Gremlin, Michael Bane, for questioning. Agent Harrison intimates that Bane knows more than he is letting on and suggests that he wouldn't mind if the Replacements were to use their own methods to find out what Bane knows.

Roadtrip

The Replacements travel to Bane's home in Moosepath, Montana. Dementia delves into the mind of the sleeping Bane and learns that Bane provided Franklin Gray with documents belonging to the original Grey Gremlin, including some maps to a possible hideout.

In his unconscious mind, Dementia finds childhoold memories of a hellish landscape of choking, grey-white smoke and smoldering earth.

Bane awakes twice during the telepathic interrogation. The second time, disoriented, he rushes into the yard with his shotgun. The Gumshoe detonates a propane tank on the property, creating a diversion.

Limbo

The Replacements put together the few clues they have and follow their best lead to the location of the Grey Gremlin, a long-abandoned mining town, Limbo, PA

The team makes their way through the overgrown streets and through the clouds of coal smoke, evading a number of booby-traps along the way. Eventually they track the Gremlin to an abandoned mine where he has prepared to make his last stand.

Wary of ambush, the team refuses to follow the Gremlin to his lair. By means of Dementia's telepathic powers, The Gumshoe challenges his nemesis to a battle in the town's abandoned church.

The Replacements quickly dispatch the villain and prevent him from detonating his suicide belt. The team contacts the authorities and the Watch arrives, along with PRIMUS and other law enforcement agents to take Franklin Gray into custody
