World in Flames, The Alternate Earth Event that began in Episode 10, continues. In Episode 12, The New Champions journeyed to Sierra Leone in pursuit of The Warlord. After a failed attempt at deception and a defeat at the hands of the War Machine, the team finds themselves trapped aboard the Warlord's gargantuan submarine, leagues beneath the North Atlantic.
Their only hope of aid is from Sentry, who stayed behind in Freetown, having linked up with the Punishers as they fled Warlord's tanks and troops in the center of the city.
After a failed attempt to take over the Warlord's submarine headquarters that ended in a crushing defeat by the War Machine, The New Champions will need the help of Sentry and the Punishers if they hope to escape--all the while the hours tick away towards Doctor Destroyer's promised destruction of nine out of every ten human beings on AltEarth.
