Apeiron

Born in the Age of Destroyer timeline, Blake Juvenal was a child prodigy with a singular talent for science. He was taken from his family and raised in a special institute until he was prepared to serve as part of Doctor Destroyer AD's elite corps of researchers and engineers.

Never leaving the confines of the imperial research arcology and devoting himself to his study of temporal and interdimensional physics, Juvenal knew little of the brutality and repression of the Destroyer regime.

He fell in love with a member of the resistance, however, and learned of Destroyer's atrocities. He escaped the arcology, taking with him his research on time travel technology and, with the help of Cypher AD, sabotaging the center's computer system.

Using plans stolen from Destroyer, he built himself a suit of battle armor and dedicated himself to using his talents to serve the resistance as Apeiron.

Despite Destroyer's attempts to revise history for propoganda purposes, the resistance learned that the superpowered team the Champions had come the closest to stopping Destroyer's conquest of Earth in 2006.

Relying on Cypher AD for the complex calculations necessary for time travel, Apeiron constructed a time-ship to 2006. He then lured the Champions into the ship, transporting them into the Age of Destroyer to aid the resistance.

Apeiron created a tangent universe as a result of abducting the Champions from the parent timeline of the Age of Destroyer. The tangent universe is the one now occupied by the Replacements. In the tangent universe in which Apeiron does not abduct the Champions, the Replacements never formed and Destroyer succeeded in his conquest of AltEarth.
